Import a year of Solana wallet history into CoinTracker with a CSV.
CoinTracker’s own help centre says to import a CSV when automatic syncing isn’t available or a sync bug occurs, and it only accepts files in its exact template. This guide shows what that template needs and how SolLedger fills it from a public Solana address.
What CoinTracker’s CSV importer requires
| Rule | How the SolLedger file meets it |
|---|---|
| Header row must match the template exactly: same names, same order, no extra columns | Date, Received Quantity, Received Currency, Sent Quantity, Sent Currency, Fee Amount, Fee Currency, Tag |
| Date as MM/DD/YYYY, time optional as 24-hour HH:MM:SS, in UTC | Every row, for example 07/16/2025 21:51:05 |
| Numbers only, no negatives or thousand separators | Plain decimals such as 3220.37 |
| Each row needs a sent side, a received side, or both (a trade) | Swaps fill both sides on one row; transfers fill one side |
| Tag optional, but must match a CoinTracker tag exactly | staking for staking rewards, airdrop for airdrops, otherwise blank |
| Currency is the ticker | Major tokens by ticker (SOL, USDC, BONK, JUP and others); long-tail tokens by mint address |

What the file looks like
These are the first lines of the CoinTracker file for calendar year 2025 of a public Squads multisig used by the Jupiter DAO’s Core Working Group (GfrTZsuPApN2oX4nxeDuEWpFT2UMTFmigmHgKv9XernG). It is an arbitrary public example, not a customer.

Three things that work differently from a synced wallet
- Fee-only transactions. CoinTracker rejects a row with no sent or received amount, so a transaction where only the network fee left your wallet is written as a small SOL send. You can recategorise it after import.
- Long-tail tokens. CoinTracker says unsupported currencies can cause errors and suggests creating a custom currency. Our file writes those tokens as their mint address so they can’t be confused with another token using the same ticker.
- No hash column. The CoinTracker template has no column for the transaction signature or description. If you want them for your own records, download the Koinly or CoinLedger version too; one payment covers all three files.
Step by step
- Open SolLedger with CoinTracker format selected, paste the wallet’s public address and pick the year. You never connect the wallet.
- Run the free preview. It shows sample rows and the first lines of the CoinTracker file exactly as it downloads.
- Pay 3 USDC and download the CSV.
- In CoinTracker, go to Wallets, Add wallets, then CSV, and upload the file.
- If you open the file in Excel first, check the dates afterwards: CoinTracker notes that Excel can rewrite date formats, and suggests Google Sheets.
Questions
Should I keep the synced Solana wallet as well?
Not for the same address and period. Importing a CSV alongside a synced wallet for the same transactions would count them twice, so use one or the other for that wallet.
Does SolLedger work out my gains?
No. It produces transaction rows. CoinTracker prices them and calculates gains for your jurisdiction.
Can I pick the UK tax year?
Yes. The year picker offers calendar years and UK tax years (6 April to 5 April) in every format.
What if the preview looks empty?
The preview reads the newest transactions first, so a busy wallet can show nothing for a past year even though the paid export goes further back. Email chris@gptshopltd.com with the address before you pay and I’ll check it.
See your CoinTracker rows first.
The free preview shows real rows from your wallet and the first lines of the CoinTracker file before you pay anything. The full year is 3 USDC.
